Regardless of ban or not the video shows a bunch of c**ts acting like a bunch of c**ts, if we want to align ourselves with that type of behaviour as "we have no choice" is a poor show all round imo.. None of us are whiter than white and I'm sure have all been in many places/many acts we shouldn't be many times... I can defend to myself that I've not done much wrong and affected no one else in how I've conducted myself in the field, along with the lads I keep in my company ... 29 minutes ago, mel b said: That's the problem wilf . They didn't just move off . They stayed , and terrorised the farmer and his wife , for nothing more than their own amusement, and to show off on Facebook . Nobody I know would behave in such a cowardly and thuggish way. I'd be f***ing ashamed for anyone to see me behaving like that. You misunderstand me lads, I’m not agreeing with it but I understand why it happens. I would personally be ashamed to even be part of it, but that has little to do with cause and effect of policy & legislation. If legislation means only people who don’t give two fucks now go hunting then why are we surprised that they don’t give two f**k ? It gos hand in hand in my opinion.

chartpolski 23,181 Posted Sunday at 13:22 Report Share Posted Sunday at 13:22 (edited) A good few years ago I was spending a bit of time down South Yorkshire way at Mally’s house, doing a bit of everything , lamping, coursing, ferreting, shooting, all on his permissions. One night we were to go lamping so we called the farmers and called the police to let them know when and where we’d be and get an incident number. Anyhow, we lamped the first farm then walked along a lane past a farm we didn’t have permission on , heading to the next farm. Suddenly a 4x4 came out of nowhere and knocked Mally into a ditch and a huge farmer jumped out and set about us with a baseball bat ! This was on a public road. Mally managed to phone the police and it started dawning on the farmer he might just have f****d up ! Then his wife jumped out the motor and tried to calm things down . She said they were having a good drink (?!?!) and watching the telly when they saw the lamp. When the police arrived and confirmed we had permission and an incident number, they asked me if we wanted to press charges, they said he would be charged with assault, dangerous driving etc and if found guilty he would probably lose his driving license and gun licenses and maybe even go to jail ! I said if he apologised we would say it was all just a misunderstanding. No way did I want to ruin a man’s life. We ended up shaking hands and went our separate ways, but I hope the farmer learned a valuable lesson ! Cheers. Edited Sunday at 13:25 by chartpolski

I get what you're saying mate, but I think it's a culmination of things not just the ban, as I said earlier Social media and the desire to "show off" to an unknown captive audience is a big factor, regardless of the ban or not these would be the same twats... The hunting ban has been in place for 20 years nigh on, before and after that loads of us poached, no doubt the aggro of hunting means we have lost loads of decent lads from it, or at least at the capacity they were at it... Perhaps your right, that's the future those who have no care for the countryside, seasons, animals or the people that make their money from it...f****d eh

It's does help that I'm really cute , and devastatingly charming .im I do a fair lump near me that's owned by a woman, I've spoken about her before, she is proper mental in all the right ways lol . Met her late one night lamping next doors farm, unknown to her we had permission (was with @white van man). We'd just walked a field and about to flick the lamp on in the next when a set of headlights was ploughing through the field we'd just done...old habits we crouched in a hedge and let them pass, up the hill and away.... Walk to the top of the farm and see someone at the top of the hill walk across a gateway with a gun over his shoulder, we flashed the lamp on him and he walked down to us ..says, "oh the poachers, we've been looking for you" I tell him we're on permission, give the farmers name etc... he says that someone wants to meet us and walks us back to a gator with a small woman sat in it... She abruptly asks us would we go her side and sort the rabbits... I failed to tell her we'd been slipping over there fairly regularly for a year or 2, it was full of rabbits..lol...She's brilliant though, I'll sit at her table having a cuppa and shell show me old pics of her old lurchers, she was right into lamping, great old stories... As hard as nails she is, I like her, mad as f**k lol Edited Sunday at 16:13 by NEWKID

THE STIFFMEISTER 15,700 Posted Sunday at 16:46 Report Share Posted Sunday at 16:46 Are these standards of behaviours exclusive to lamping / coursing or are they universal across all working lurcher owners ?
