Well been out this morning was going for an hour with our youngen. Set off to where there's some decent quarry. Our youngens walking over one of local locks on canal. Silly twat Looks over lockan drops his catty over edge out of his pocket that wasnt zipped up. Amy one know what's best magnets out there to try retrieve it. It's a simple shot catty that he got gifted off a guy on here so he's gutted to f**k. His first catty so it means something too him. Was asking me to jump in. Lol. Am saying like f**k am I jumping in there. . So had face on walking home. I'm thinking will the clasps that lock the bands in be steel or aluminium ? I've got him a will buy him another f***ing catty. A bet the magnets aren't cheap so might aswel buy him a new catty

Shit !... bit of bad luck there. Think we've all lost one whilst out. Can't believe it, I gave 8 cattys away last week.

Might have more luck with a few treble hooks on a trace mate and try and snag it and reel it in.

It's that simpleshot one you gave him that brown one. He's been doing okay with it. Al buy him another same style. He's gutted because it's his first proper catty. Think it's because there was nothing he could do. Not like we could re track our footsteps. A know a shouldn't laugh. But you just heard this plop an a said you've dropped that f***ing catty haven't ya. Gormless look like kids do.

Well that's what I was thinking. But with it being right next to lock. I'm thinking if locks are open won't it be pulled in with the flow of water filling the locks back up. Its a catch 22 init. Am better off just buying him one. A might have a bash when am spinning.

I was watching a video other day and a lad was putting a go pro on a piece of string and dropping it in every lock he came across,  he was looking for groups of fish to target / fish for..anyhow every lock was clean and you could easily find a catty in there..

A will still get him another simpleshot too for Xmas surprise him . We know what kids are like. But he never zips his pockets up. A tell him makesure you zip your pockets up don't lose anything then.  Kids don't give too fucks it's not them paying. Lol
