Im one of the least breed blind in the game, I’ve seen all types of pures and crosses do very well, from beddy types right through to deerhound crosses. Probably the best “all rounder “, ( yes, I know this term means different things to different people), was Bruce the rescue dog, and the only thing we know about him is that his dam was a greyhound. As I obviously haven’t seen every running dog, there would most likely have been even better dogs than him, so it’s best to keep an open mind when it comes to what is “best”. Cheers. i can remember it vaguely chart black looked like 1/4 bedlington 3/4 grey to me if i’m thinking the right dog tall Quote Link to post
mC HULL 12,347
what is a good dog ? i think it’s when you have one that your out with multiple times a week and in the full season you can count on one hand the times you have blanked one that misses very few things even the hard ones no dog has a right to stop you can let it off day or pitch black and it will come back with something 7 Quote Link to post

I think it was Tomo judging and he said it came back with its rabbits as quickly as it went out ! Just goes to show, some coursing types actually DO come back ! LOL ! Cheers. 2 Quote Link to post
