lurchers 2,763
Never been on facebook but had people advertise stuff for me with my number on,and once they start with will pay £50 when ya have it up for sale£100 or over,I tell then to feck off and go and look somewhere else for what they want.Or if they say yeah I’m on my way.I tell them not to come haggling as that’s the price I want and will tell you to get yaself away.I can’t be fecked on with greedy tight feckers who’s not happy getting something cheap as they want it for nothing.I look at it if it a bargain just pay the money and stop been I tight cnut. comanche 2,942
After watching my daughter sell her knackered old BMW on Marketplace l had her sell my even more knackered Jimny . The advert was honest and left no illusion to it being anything but totally trashed . " You can't put it up for that much." I protested . "Trust me Father l sell on here all the time." She has Marketplace sussed ; doesn't get flustered by the idiots and no-shows , asks high and never drops lower than what she wanted in the first place . Within 20 minutes of her posting on FB my Jimny on the site someone was on the way to see it. Of course they knocked her down on the phone . She agreed to accept the offer as long as they didn't turn up and try to haggle any more off. Which of course being obvious dealer types they did . To which The Daughter replied " The deal was no haggling .I'm afraid you're halfway through a wasted 60mile round trip . Go away !" They paid up the agreed price. When the buyers had gone we realised they had left behind the spare set of wheels and decent tyres . So after a decent interval The Daughter sold them on Marketplace. It's a game and you have to enjoy playing it , l guess. Now if l have anything to sell she does it for me. For a percentage of courseAlways for a percentage 2
