Selling off

Recommended Posts

If you where selling off your ferreting gear would you get your locators serviced first , to see they where okay and there's no comebacks ?.

Then would you sell off all your gear in one lump sum ? or else after the locators and nets you could be left with the rest ?.

I would never personally sell off any of my ferreting locators, collars, longnets etc...taken me over 30 yrs to amass it all from a young boy, saved up for my first grey box...I have just recently sold off my Garmin, terrier runs, bellman and flint, collars, all the digging tools,t bars, grafters , terrier boxes...I found that hard tbh, been a massive part of my life, but things change, We move on in life, digging game is dead, but I can still get out and enjoy some ferreting,so will hang onto it all until I can no longer get out👍

I’m same I’d rather give them away to somebody I know will use them if I stop using them, took me years a countless hours a graft to build my kit, bit by bit. Can always remember looking at the older guys I went out with I was in awe of all there kit, I also got rid of all my terrier gear, stupidly, an now having to get it all back 🤦‍♂️😂

Theres boys doing 100-150 a day/night in some parts of the country

Not round here they aint, Be lucky to see half a dozen in a night, As for getting rid of stuff, its hard, i have all my match feeder fishing tackle. spent literally thousands of pounds on it, Now i don't think i will ever be able to use it as it should be used ever again, Problem i, with fishing tackle the longer you keep it the more value it looses until it becomes worthless as tackle improves, its not until it becomes an antique that it regains any value.

These boys are sometimes doing 300 miles round trip to put gear away, some want it at the end of the lane or wont bother, Ive always had to travel for sport if I didnt I'd do fck all as well ( not a dig at lads who dont travel )
