@mC HULL I know you said they ran them more back in the day but how much more twice a week is enough for any daytime dog giving quality runs and sometimes 3 times a week there's still plenty of boys doing that just now add that in with all the knowledge people can get of the internet with conditioning dogs properly and feeding them ect ect ....surely the standard and wellbeing of dogs have improved a bit or we are going backwards 

i mean they were out daily not always the same dog a well looked after dog is just that mate plenty looked after them same as loads now dont flees worms etc rife still aint it

no im mean coursing dogs mate but yes like you say the original crosses were doubled etc and still not a patch 

not many today could go run for run with one a the good salukis on open land winter mate they were known for been bottomless

remember pal  ive had 2 pures  and between them there style was like chalk and cheese ,the inport just made it look easy  very long stride  looked like she wasnt moving  the red uk bred dog his legs were going like fkn bees wings

Funny that soo did we was breeding from pures years ago two famous pure dogs down here called warrior and alloe 

both dogs oddly enough used to run at rye house and stay with the greyhounds

 

then you had the guy from Croydon who years and years ago had and run pure salukis
