No better feeling than bringing a dog on from a pup...giving them a spin at 10/11 month old and  watching it take it's first rabbit/fox/deer etc...no drug comes close Neck😔

A pic of a few dogs owned by London lads in the past. The white bitch was the litter sister to the great grand dam to lucky the dark destroyer i believe. The brindle bitch was a fx saluki greyhound.

Mate my Wheaton x bitch is 27 tts and 80/90 lb fighting weight...had her out ferreting from first jabs with longnets etc, around the harris/gos hawks, she's done everything you would use a whippet/smal

Not being funny or having a go but does anyone else think that bitch has the look of Ibizan hound or an Azawakh hound ?

Not knocking the bitch in any way, I like the “leggy” look of it !

Cheers.

I see different, i think that Nero and it's offspring resemblance Afghan hounds with the head profile.

Maybe it’s the photo or the way it’s standing but it looks very “leggy” and slightly “short coupled”.

Again, I’m certainly not knocking it.
Cheers.

I think it’s long legs might make her look a bit short coupled but your probably comparing her to your deerhound x which I imagine has a great length of back, them long legs and racey built definitely helped her with speed as she was once slipped with a pure greyhound to compare and she beat the greyhound to the hare, just out of interest if you get chance sometime can you measure the length of your bitch from her front shoulder to base of tail

There is a dog out of the Cindy x Nero litter, shot and retrieved with bird of prey

Did you see Nero run, what was it like for a pure?

Two of my first cross deer/greys;

They have the same deerhound blood, but the first bitch was out of a coursing bred Irish greyhound sired by Mafi Magic, the Irish coursing champion.

The second bitch is out of a racing greyhound, sister to Westmead Hawk.

They were around the same weight, 75lb, and the coursing bred is 28 1/2” and the racing bred about 29 1/2”.

The coursing bred, to my eye, is slightly shorter in the back but definitely has more “bone”.

They both have the same running style and speed.

Cheers.

Never seen him run, he could kill hares but I’ve heard people say he was a plodder, which is surprising because all of the Cindy x Nero litter were rapid, I don’t think they would of turned out any faster if I’d of used a greyhound, my bitch had unreal speed and caught plenty on small land, I’d of been no better off with a whippet greyhound on small land because she was so fast but she had plenty of blow aswell
