But many in the know still claim long slips are no different to kick ups, that's a load of bollocks, the hares might not always kick on until they close down but the dog still has to cover the ground and make up for the 100yd it's giving way.

exactly and when it’s  winter and more than 100yds with hares flying you can fast dog but closing huge gaps is different

Get your dog over that bitch mate, get it in your bloodline this instant. 4-1, if that was a boxing match they'd throw in the towel. Lol

Better off putting one of those labs over it ? Only needs a walking companion lol

Which puzzles me as to why you see all these kick-up's by superstar dogs and top dogmen. Feck me unless my dogs knocked one up out of it's seat when mooching I'd hang on to the slip and let the hare get going with dogs that are not out and out hare dogs. Lol

I remember when the big money was on buying and matching trotters.

I knew of a few coursing dogs went for up to £10k, but they must of tarmaced a lot of drives to pay £50k for a dog.

Cheers.

Listen none of them give 100 yard slips. Some of matches are f****d off with arguments over slips. Best way is not letting any c**t see your dog run or talk about it. I've had many pull me over when out walking dogs. A just say there f****d through injury. Lol. You don't want anyone knowing what your kennelling.
