It's all flinty around them ways mate. Some land around the east coast ways looks like a sheet a white when farmers turned the land over. A went once with a pal. After he run his dog an it came back feet f****d a was like your okay mate. Pads cut to f**k one toe smashed up. You head back towards north west the ground gets better. Or down towards south. But that east coastal way f****d. Big old lumps of stone too. 1 Quote Link to post

Run dogs a few times on land near primrose valley mate and it was very stoney one dog we had that had good feet took a roe on a long run daytime before he pulled it down then was laid up a fortnight with really sore pads. It was daftness on our part running our dogs when their wasn't any give in the ground due to it being dry though with travelling all the way from Rotherham we didn't want to go home empty handed. I think most of us in the past have run our dogs on ground when we should have known better when we were younger. 3 Quote Link to post

The rabbit ended up running towards it. Dog made its move on the rabbit just next to the fallen tree. When it came back the dog had impaled its neck on one of the branches. Made a right mess. Really a should of turned lamp off when it was around the tree. But like you say when your young. Quote Link to post

My mates mother had a caravan on the holiday camp at Reighton Gap and we used to walk along the cliff tops then make our way inland to run the dogs also remember a pub with the name of a wading bird but can't recall what they called it. 1 Quote Link to post
