Look ye also while life lasts That just about sums it all up for me.... I have read your favorite quotation earlier this week. There is an article in The Field from last November, about Denys Watkins-Pitchford,better known by his pseudonym "BB". He wrote in various shooting publications, and used this quote (copied from a grave in Cumberland) to preface his books. Very nice words,I wonder who originally wrote it? Don't know but would love to find out. I have a good few "BB" books.....all top class, and its obvious to see he was a true country lover. His writing is easy on the eye and his descriptions are crystal. He was a huge influence on me when i was younger reading his "Little grey men", then "Lord of the forest" and brendan chase.... Its a shame there isnt anyone around like him now to fill the vaccuum he left when he died. Thankfully i have a good few cuttings of his work from old shooting times.....JD
