Blast from the past ! I remember watching this and my mate did me a VHS copy of it in my early ish 20,s

I remember another old poaching documentary , similar time. About a woman who lived up Scotland and poached deer with a rifle off the estates.  My old lamping partner from Carlisle lived up Scotland for a while and actually met her, said she was ruff and ready. Can't for the life of me remember the name of it. I think she worked in a hotel up there if my memory serves me right.

Just skipped through that earlier Drifter! I was straight on Google earth and successfully located the pitch! Steady 4 hrs drive from where I am though so thinking about an easy beach camp and then into the Cheviots for a proper yomp and camp. It would make the trip worthwhile then I reckon!

No mate. I wouldn't quite feel right knocking one out in a hammock!

Lower the tarp and zip the fly net up, big baggy underblanket, any staccato movement could be misconstrued for sock search, right sock rage and, or left sock rage, not to mention back to front long Johns

You know?
