harryshounds 1,013
Got out for quick hr this evening, went down to a spot I walk em regularly. Used to be plenty of bunnies on it but disease wiped em by last March. Started to see some fresh signs recently there was one or two back on it. Lurcher Cú marked one in a small briar,Floyd flushed him and got good hunt at him through big briars and bolted twice more. Lovely work out of him. 4 Quote Link to post
toolebox 1,545
I enjoy watching the dogs on the game and also when the rabbit does the double double back over its own track. Your dogs did well and to be fair the rabbits still there for you and the dogs to chase again. Quote Link to post
terryd 8,421
It’s bloody great fun and one rabbit can give no end of fun. Rabbits are no idiots either as toolbox says about doubling back. The Lurcher was in cover tracking one once through brambles. I was stood in there to and as Lurcher pass me the rabbit came back and crept by the Lurcher and legged it. Few minutes later along came the dog on its line. It passed the dog with in feet and literally crawled past. A deliberate back track. Gave him right run around and got away Quote Link to post
