Anyone been to Krakow in Poland?

Planned on taking the nipper to London....£175 for trains.....250-300 for half decent hotel in the centre....300 spending money.

It's occurred to me we could go anywhere for that money. Just done a random last minute go anywhere search and Krakow is cheap. Plus I could let him shoot a machine gun!

Has anyone ever been? I don't want somewhere that's going to be stressful with the young lad. It's got to be easy going and not hard to navigate.

His mum's said I'm talking out my arse and work will get in the way and it won't come off.....so just to prove her wrong we are going on a plane in the next two weeks.... even if its bloody benidorm 😂

Funny how a women's doubt can consolidate will, lol. My mates a pole I can ask him. Benidorm would be worse than London imo lol. Although I don't agree with some of the selections

What are the best European destinations for a family city break...

Maybe a last minute in Norfolk lodge or machine guns in  Krakow 👍🏻

I went with my Mrs a few years ago, probably the nicest city I've been to for a long weekend. Food and drink were decent. Did trips to Auschwitz which wasn't really a barrel of laughs and the salt mines.

What's the journey time from airport to centre? Plenty people speak English?

I love benidorm, there's more to it than the English strip. It's about 3 miles long, plenty of nice restaurants and bars, gun shops and knock of clothes shops. Not been for years but it's an option, every 11 year old should see sticky Vicki pull flowers out her chuff 😂

30 mins or so in a taxi. Don't think I attempted any Polish, they all spoke English anyway.

lovely place

Went on a stag do about 12 years back, done the firing range half pissed they were handing us all sorts to shoot, f***ing mental...all I could think was I will shoot my brother in the leg with this glock for a laugh, he said afterwards he was having the same thoughts... 2 days on the piss by then and we were far from sober! lol

it's a beautiful city though, I said I'll take the Mrs at some point but I've been advised by a lad off here Talin is the place to go.

I’ve been there a couple of times… Good night out and you’ll find want you want to

Most people speak English and if you don’t act a dick they’ll give all the help you can ask for.

Defo take in the history. The place is chocka block with it ;)

Polish people/culture is/are not far removed from ours.

I recommend “Flaki” it’s a good soup ;)
