Is cmw just a soap box for the countryside alliance all i seem to read about is the ban on foxhunting lets be honest at least foxhunting has continued albeit in a different form coursing was the sacrificial lamb. But do you hear anyone from C,.A saying anything i never do.

I wrote an article on falconry for the CMW. Ive been hawking squirrels for years, and wrote the article on my new bird and how i was training it up for squirrel.

The next week someone got a letter printed in the dear editors section absolutely slating me for hawking squirrel , saying how dangerous it was. When i wrote back saying it was only dangerous if you dont know what you were doing, and i had caught hundreds without once having even a bite , it wasnt printed and ive never bought it since.

Ive replied to things Ive said or wrote in the CW, I always headed it 'right of reply' my letter always got in. Try this next time matie, good luck

I agree; used to read CMW almost weekly but stopped buying it now. One thing of note however is the recent poll (I think it was on channel 4) whith the CA won as the most influential polotical force in Britain last year.........

The ban may have come into force but they are doing and have done a good job of fighting the corner where others have just bailed out.....and that poll shows just how much the ordinary man on the street has noticed.

i stopped buying it a year or so ago, always the same crap week in week out, nothing you don't already no...but i must admit i have started buying it again just recently as we was looking for another dog in the ad section, will carry on getting it as i do like the old stories and historical bits like the one running about the grass family of keepers and the old photos. In fact i cut most of my mags back when i realised how much money i was throwing away a month, it soon builds up if i got a few like land rover monthly ,fishing and so on at £3.50 or more a shot it's daylight robbery :( i just read most of them in tescos now and if theres anything of interest then i buy it.....
