Wilf there are more non nationals in Thetford than there are English and the high street is very much like Watton but maybe not so many roma's but still plenty of eastern europeans. A little fact about Thetford is when we had a empire and used flintlocks every flintlock in the empire had black Norfolk flint as the flint and it was all mined around Thetford as it's the best flint for a clean spark.. There's a few chicken shit run power stations popping up and a big one being built on eye airfield next to the excisting one,big straw burning plant at Snetterton and plenty of those fuel out of maize jobbies being built. It is a funny old county and one i am sort of fond of but it's more the Norfolk folk than the county and i miss hearing my old neighbour calling me by saying " Steve, come you yere bouy" ,a real lost in time people who's days are very much numbered.... Anyone ever down this way the kettle don't take long to boil and i have permisson to have a mooch out on.. He's a keeper on there fireman.lol..them red stags on there are massive. Roe have shit heads.(german imports)yep gangs of immigrants in Thetford he was telling me..

He's a lucky man indeed and i have bumped into a few of those beasts while around the forest and although the dogs were willing i wasn't as like you say they are massive and those little un's the jocks called beasts are half their size eh,lol. But if your ever over this way or your pal is interested i can take you to the farm that used to have the Red herd and some of the old posts for the fence are still around the fields called the Deer park still and the old boy will tell you the history of his grandfather and the deer... I used to do a bit of beating on the Euston estate many moons ago. One day as we were coming through a maize strip the shout "deer" came up. Beast of a red stag was coming through at full whack, we all came out the end bar one, old fella, Ivan I think he was called had been knocked out cold , cracked a few ribs etc, proper ambulance job, and to be honest, he was lucky with that! Like a cart horse with antlers... Yokel 2

Funny enough I had the same happen to me not that long ago, over west stow way. I'd gone off piste in the woods there having a mooch, heard a rare ol' rumble like a horse race, then about ten or so came thundering past, a bit too close for comfort I don't mind admitting! Beautiful site tho... Yokel
