I’m no metrologist but don’t we have a high pressure anticyclone every year around November which produces these weather patterns ?

I’m not trying to rebut what you’re saying Scotty, but I can only give my own experience.

Im in the middle of harvesting the last of this seasons plants at the allotments, and I moved the last of my chilli plants out of the polly tunnel and into the greenhouse to ripen last week because the sun was shining, and it did for two or three days. Actually, as I’m typing this, the sun has just broke through in south Northumberland.

Blue sky over sunny Northumberland;

Ive planted spring cabbage , and winter onions and garlic in the last couple of weeks because it’s been so mild.
