FLATTOP 4,502
I have had the log burner on 6 times this month my mrs has an under active thyroid one of the symptoms is shes always cold, she would quite happily put the heating on but i refuse to give the gas company's any money until i have to, at the moment i am burning my old double bed lol i stripped all the upholstery off the sides the end and the headboard chain sawed it up its burning a treat waste nothing. Heres a pic of mine from last year wouldn't do without one great plan B when they start controlling what you can and cant have with these so called smart meters which i flatly refuse to have.

Just been out feeding the birds,it's a mite chilly, adjusted the temps indoors on my phone while walking home, voila, nice and hot as I opened the door.

tatsblisters 10,030
Really tempted to get one of these woodburners after having the kitchen gas fire and old back boiler took out due to it packing up though i don't know if it would be too much messing about redirecting the capped off gas pipes that fired the boiler and fire up.
