Clearly modern bikes have improved dramatically and handling so much better. (Mine was the original carb version). I remember getting in a spat, leaving Silverstone, with a geezer on a Busa. Mate he gave up I kid you not. In the day they were awesome. Jok. My vfr is a 1999 so not new

Horses for courses, all I need is a gentle, easy to ride bike that I can pick up if I drop it, good on fuel and easy to maintain. It's a 2023 bike with modern touches but still needs feeler gauges for the tappets every 6000 miles. When the warranty is up I'll do it all myself. I rarely go on motorways even with the car so the Enfield will be a good tool for B roads and lanes where I live and wild camping on the Quantocks or Exmoor.

Parked my bandit in the front of a Toyota Yaris a nun was driving when she pulled out in front of me, she managed to right off my mate and his bandit at the same time. 2 for the price of one.
