Not sure how true this is but l was told in a kinda " man in a pub( Co OP shop actually )" conversation that the company decided to farm out assets . The biggest asset being the patent or licence for the Kania which was only released when the price was right.* *Edited ; it looks like they actually sat on the patent themselves . As l say , this may well not be exactly true but with the fur trade failing lt would be a good guess that the words " financial poo" might be relevant. Someone like Phil or OTC probably has a better idea. Edited October 1, 2024 by comanche Quote Link to post

comanche 3,027
So a company that's supposedly been a leader in the fur and trapping business for 25 years suddenly needs to raise £160,000 . And they need it quick ,and upfront. ???? 1 Quote Link to post
comanche 3,027
A cynic might suggest that by offering the unmade traps at a discount and only selling in bulk Kania could knock up a fairly heathy looking set of figures . They wouldn't have to produce a single trap . Just sell the pattern ,tooling and glowing advance-order book to to some keen innocent. Quote Link to post
