inan 841
Inan, I said to you in a PM that I probably have not done as much as you on big land not I had done very little. I will also say this to you now on the forum, I probably never will because daytime coursing is not my passion and you have at least 15 year on me. The point I was getting at in my first post was the feck you Iam all right and blame it on the poachers attitude what a lot of coursing/dog men who stayed within the law had was detramental to the hunting cause and IMO it was! Not knowing this one and that one what does it matter who I do and dont know? hare coursing is a very in your face thing when your in the right circles! there is also plenty information around about it so it doesnt take long to get round what this one and that one is up to does it? but Iam not going to start name dropping like you do on a public forum that just is not my style. As for credability that is something I neither want or ask for on a internet forum! I am not concerned about who you know ,or don,t know ,I asked because you made the statement that several of the well respected coursing men were part of the organised poaching gangs.so I asked you how you knew this and, could you back up your assertion, that seems reasonable to me.I don,t consider myself a name dropper,I mentioned Miles because he had some input into coursing posts previously ,and by his replies I knew he had been out with several of the "faces "of the coursing world. For the record,as far as I know Miles and I have never met .How am I name dropping? You make statements like Feck you I am allright, blame it on the poachers as though every coursing man with permission had that attitude, but you cant make general statement s without back up proof ,If you want to say imo ,thats different,we all have a point of view,,but you arent invariably right. For the record ,daytime coursing is ,or was my passion ,for me there is no field sport to equal it,and I do quite a bit of various Ive just got in from a night bunny shoot, bushing Sat,ferreting Sun ,and bushing again Mon,then lamping a pup Tues,so I do manage to do a bit.I don,t want to have a slanging match with you ,but you seem to allways be in the back ground ,emerging only to put someone down with a caustic remark, and as you don,t put up any of your own experiences your posts are decidedly one way traffic.Inan. Guest joe ox
inan, I can safely say your one of the blame it on the poachers/ illegal coursers brigade because in a round about way you have done it on this topic. Like I said previously articles like that are nothing new. The hunting fraternity decided to unite together far to late IMO because when they did the damage had already been done! Joe I have been on every demo and march I could make ,taken time off and done everything in my power to put the case for hunting forward to the general public, including having my face on the cover of the Countrymans Weekly ,with other committed fieldsports men and women, for you ,who won,t even put a post up on a hunting site showing your days out is to me a joke, where do you get off critising the likes of me? You are a joke you sent me a pm telling me about how hard you train in the gym ,and about your skills, perhaps you should take a look at your attitude towards your chosen sport. You have contributed ZERO to this forum,if we had to rely on the likes of you to protect our sport,a man who is too timid to even recount his past exploits ,we would be well and truly stuffed. You used the word safely in your riposte,I would say that aptly describes you ,sometimes in this life you have to shit or get off the pot,I THINK YOU HAVE BEEN SQUATTING LONG ENOUGH!I expect the pm containing the veiled threat will follow ,I notice you have used that on fellow posters, why not channel that aggression into your sport, and the defence of it? Im done with the likes of you ,a remora fish who feeds off the contributions of others ,and gives nothing in return.Inan. Quote Link to post

whin 463
no big deal poaching u just have to no the land and dont walk about in daylight in groups if you own the land , poached all my life with a bit of permiss in between , we could have stopped the ban but we were not equipt and wise enough , if it had been low profile then they would have never got banned , ive traveld the globe and seen our faults , i would be happy if we overturned the ban but well i cant see it ,but maybe if we all donated to the next goverment or backed the ones who think there in for a shout then maybe , but liifes a bitch, we were the mother country of all hunting coursing but we f****d it up not the quite man who walks out kills game and hi tails it, but the big organised days like a football match ,who thought invincibility, the americans that i visit yearly have learned dearly fro what the done to us , i hate the ban as i have coursing dogs but i use them as all rounders as well works work and it all tastes the same once butcherd , maybe less sporting but i would never stop hunting ,there more places than lincoln to hunt all the best Quote Link to post
Guest joe ox
It most definatly was the big organised fox hunt and coursing meetings which got hunting with dogs banned which people like INAN openly BRAG about being part of! A very long time ago a old poacher said to me while we were talking about fox hunting with hounds "son the attention those people are attracting now will eventually start affecting us" It seemed like he was talking riddles at the time but it makes perfect sense now! fishfish 17
"How you can tell there is an illegal hare coursing event taking place? The most obvious sign is a group of vehicles parked in a rural area perhaps by a gateway to farmland, on a grass verge, on a farm track or bridle path. There will usually be estate cars, four wheel drives or vans that are well looked after to avoid attention from the police. They may contain evidence of dogs inside – such as muddy paw prints and dog hair. " sounds like the local fox hunt! thats the only time ive seen the above! Quote Link to post
