The best argument for why this woke madness is occurring is that parents stopped setting boundaries. In my day you might push the boundary with a haircut or piecing or a fashion style , schools still had rules and strict uniform policies , then came a generation of soft parents that used child led parenting , initially it was gender, now it's moving towards animals and other madness, I think the research states that nearly all these children come from broken homes, trauma, multiple trauma etc. rather than strong parents and teachers setting a firm boundary which children will always want to test the boundary, it is just getting moved by children and so the madness continues until those same children are then the parent. If my kids came home... Well it just wouldn't happen , which also makes it difficult to comprehend. Although when you here how they seem incapable of controlling screen time or game time it kinda sums it up. Then you have the school giving homework on tablets and then emailing parents on how to keep your child safe online , I think they should ban all phones in schools .

I've said it before..I think it's all changed since smacking was banned..there is no boundary anymore..the youngsters can do anything with zero repercussions.

Basically they don't give a feck..

Well I don't know about that, I don't smack my boys, maybe a bit in jest , they know they'd get one if they justified it, ban or no ban, I'm being somewhat tested at the moment of late. I find it easier not to be dragged into a discussion with them where as the wife will debate I tend to instruct without debate unless I feel they have a genuine question of my reasoning, which is rare they just want to push boundaries and draw attention, kid stuff. But far easier to deal with now than when they're late teens. I do see that certain pals rub off on them and I pull them on it, I also know when they're tired , and when they've had too much tablet time lol. It's all fun and games and given a chance to rest and relax they're good kids. Being a bit of a weekend dad because I contract probably exacerbates the issue a little or at least makes my job of parenting a little more intense, with a sprinkling of guilt and loss lol. We all do what we can though and I love it. I'm lucky .
