Wilf, thanks for the PM. I'm glad my message of reinvention has been well received. I fully support your new journey in transitioning to becoming a woman. I think attending the "welcome all ethnicities" workshop is a step too far  however and may result in regression.

Peace and love brother.

I think it’s plain for all to see I’m a modern chap !

That immediately brought to mind an episode I’ve mentioned on here before;  My brother was walking his terrier and lurcher when the terrier squatted for a shit. A woman driving past stopped

Yesterday I was determined to release myself from my mental straitjacket. I am ashamed of myself being such northern old manist. So I went round to Abdul's to see what he thought of the new Iman. From

Similar story, a mate of mine who used to be on here was digging a fox and was confronted by some nosey Parker’s all shouting blue murder at him……he carried on, broke through, shot it, pulled it out a

Another dog shit story. A friend of mine spotted a sneaky fecker allowing his dog to shit in front of his house. He shot out and demanded the owner pick up the shit. Which he did with bare hands.

My brother and I were ferreting a bit of permission he had, and a sandal and sock wearing shithouse came by and started berating us while his border collie was chasing the cows around the field.

My brother gave him the stare I knew would ,and had in the past landed us in a bit of “soapy” and told the bloke “ get that dog under control and f**k off before I bury you both in this hole I’m digging “ !
The bloke beat a hasty retreat while shouting he was going to ‘phone the police.

This was before mobile ‘phones so I knew I had a while to calm my brother down , get our gear together and leave, even though we were in the right, but my brother had a fair bit of “previous” so I thought discretion was the better part of valour !

Cheers.

I was watching  Till Death us do Part excerpts on Youtube. Time hasn't  reduced the funniness.  I found myself chuckling at much of the dialogue. I was curiously reminded of you though,  and my dad, an old school docker. I'm not being rude by the way. Alf is probably more relevant today than when the series was first recorded. Except a series like that would never see the light of day. Non PC!

I’m watching a lot of the old repeats but I think Alf Garnett in both versions of the show is a bit dated now, still funny but not as much as it was.

I like It Ain’t Half Hot Mum, still as hilarious as ever.

Rising Damp and Porridge are still great , and of course Only Fools And Horses are timeless classics.
Rab C Nesbitt is just insane in a funny way !

Cheers.

The son in law in Till Death, the layabout leftie,  was an alcoholic f****r of dodgy women. Elsie Tanner ( Pat Phoenix). One of his conquests resulted in Cherie Blair. Nuff said.

Fawlty Towers still has me laughing as does Dads Army. The old comedians.....Mick Miller, Bernard Manning, Jim Davidson, Les Dawson still, have me pissing myself laughing. I still don't get how the modern comedians suddenly replaced them overnight. PC again.

You mean he was an actor ???

Quell surprise! LOL !

The show was a satire of blokes like Alf……which seems to have rather back fired as we wasn’t Oxford educated like Mitchell so were probably a bit too thick as shit to get it and embraced it instead ! Lol

I've watched it a few times but its a bit male menopausal "fings ain't what they used to be" for me, he should stick to the jokes. That's his talent. "Male  menopausal"   I know that's rich coming from me.

I apologise for what may have appeared as a sarcastic comment, it wasn’t meant that way, and I agree it was meant as a satire.

I for one see it in a completely different light now as a “ grown up” than I did back then as a callow youth .

Cheers.

This is a bit of role reversal. But whatever the scriptwriter's intention. Alf did speak for many. And at least it was allowed to be broadcast in those more permissive days. It wouldn't see the light of day now because of censorship. That's far more worrying than whatever came out of Alfs mouth.

I thought Alf's wife was brilliant in that series. I've known a dozen women like that in my family alone.

Alf's daughter, I wouldnt have kicked her out of bed. She was brilliant as Aunt Sally as well in Worzel Gummidge. Una Stubbs.
