eastcoast 4,251
I spotted this at the back of house today. From a distance thought it was a collard dove but too big and obviously no collar, then thought woodie but obviously not. There are a lot of both species around. Is it just a feral or, and this is what interested me, possibly some kind of hybrid? The size of a feral, smaller and more lightly built than a woodie. Quote Link to post

eastcoast 4,251
It was the all black eye that confused me as much as the plumage. Must have seen hundreds before and never noticed it. Quote Link to post
Chico11 5
Looks like it's just a young woodie based on the description and the eye detail. 1 Quote Link to post

I thought I'd discovered a new hybrid wild species Jesus, probably shot many in the past and put them in the ferret food/dumped feral pile. Not really shooting these days but taking more interest in the birds that I see when just walking the dog. The feathered variety. Quote Link to post
