I'm sure I've seen less swallow and less bats this year. Swallows seem to stay longer as well. I've seen swallows well onto October, whereas years  back they were gone in September.

Seen loads of bats this yr...and also been a decent yr for butterflies,saw one on Saturday just gone.Not seen many bees which is worrying,and next to no wasps

My favourite time of the year, can’t wait to go out collecting conkers with my youngest ready for a game or 3 not sure who’s the bigger kid haha

I keep bees been shit year with weather queen's not getting back when go out to mate hive become nasty with no queen

Conkers are falling already misses collected a bag this week to keep the spiders at bay lol

Still white in there shells on the tree in our font garden unfortunately but had noticed the trees that had been affected by the leaf miner were dropping some

Told the Mrs the fire doesn't get lit till October. Also told my mates I'd have a pint with em tonight. 

8.15pm and fires lit, kettle on and new book just arrived

Back up to 20's next week apparently, but I'll still be packing some warmer gear , bit fresh in the mornings...

Been out last 3 nights shooting rabbits...dropped a net as well...but last night was still and cold...had to put my wolly hat on...

Lots of bats here but I live on water and there is an old pill box across from me were they roost, think the weather has a big bearing on things to much rain means insects not out so bats not out, also been a bad year for owls due to the non stop rain through spring affecting there hunting which knocks on to breeding, I,ve noticed more of these little things since living on the boat than I ever did in a house even though I was out as much as possible
