It's getting more popular all the time, even shops dedicated to pig hunting in some towns. The mastiff/dane/ bull terriers are the main dogs the mrs used back in the day but bully/stags and bullarabs are popular now. It's the only way to get pigs in thick country that's why they need pig hunters. Where I last lived on the Tablelands the numbers are exploding and there are heaps of blokes with pigdogs. You would often see big boars next to the road, even in the middle of the day and I had to fence off the veg patch from them.
