I'd love to have my old collie cross and run him beside a coursing bred to just to see the difference. No doubt they would have more in the tank but on the one hare he was hard to beat, he caught a lot. Most he did local was 3 out of 3, medium to small fields. I never saw him out run on the occasions a hare got up when out on a mooch with other lurchers. When you see some of those coursing vids a lot of animals don't look all that impressive, maybe it's just rose tinted glasses, of course you don't know what the going is like or how good the hares are unless you're there.

Sutton Coldfield special, rabbit, hare and roe was all it was good for, tried him on fox but it knew what was best for it. Lol
