That photograph captures more than a football celebration. There's a lot going on there. I'm not going to comment on it further or I'll read like the prick I've just read in the paper, who wrote that Man U's improvement is due to McGuire's thriving in " a back 3 pivot in a double base layer" Wtf? Sounds like a guitarist to me. I thought he'd dropped a few lazy b*****ds, introduced a better work ethic and told a few players what he wanted from them. Like when Brian Clough said to John Robertson" yer an ugly little b*****d, but you can cross a ball. So run up and down that wing and cross the ball. Nothing f****n else". It worked very well. Dagenham v Milllwall. Not for the faint hearted supporter. Lol That lad was one of the most dedicated and knowledgable football lads I have ever met, his son (who is also in that picture) is simply the best midfielder I have ever had the honour to play alongside….he could do everything, his football brain was 28 when he was 18. Was in at Tottenham youth but bad knees hindered him and it was what eventually ended his career. Eddie the cat !…..has probably had 10 pints the night before and still gos out and wins a final ! lol

I havent been going to any games mate but get updated on the basics, terrible turn out last month we had a young lad in the under 18's died on the pitch.....shocking really he'd gone in for a tackle, collapsed and died there and then.....the club decided to give the next games gate receipts to his family and we got 500 odd extra fans to what we'd normally get which i thought for a 2 bob shit area was a nice community type thing. Apart from that we had a good December won every game and moved up to 3rd in the league, bashed your old mob 4 nil a few days before Xmas .....but then lost 3 nil at the weekend so back down to 6th or 7th....so inconsistency is still the issue....hopefully start getting to a few games again soon though i was on the phone to a pal who follows another local club while they was doing a pitch inspection Saturday and all i could hear was " nah f**k that " so wait till the weather clears i suppose.

Hurlock was an assassin. He scared me watching him on the box.lol You had to watch his tackles peeping through your fingers. He moved to Glasgow Rangers as you know and he was hated by the Celtic fans more than Diouf which was quite an achievement. I don't think he could play in the modern game. He certainly couldnt play in the modern game as him and his brother were both at least half alcoholics even back then when he was at his best....and Tony his brother was his agent and financial advisor f**k me what a mess !....but yes the Rangers fans loved him when he went up there.......the Old Den at Millwall was an intimidating place at the best of times but wasnt helped by the Hurlock terrace chant of " Terry's gonna getcha "

His brothers were his financial advisers. They bled him dry. Do you remember a centra half Man U had in the 70s? Six foot two, eyes of blue, Big Jim Holton after you La la la la. f**k he was crude. I swear he could kick an opponent 3 ft in the air. And "bite yer legs Hunter" another one. Yes the game is prettier now but part of the crowd involvement and passion was either worshipping or hating the old assassins.

Tragic that mate, but one of the great things about football is how it brings people together like that….sort of reaffirms your faith in humanity. Classy touch by your club that, fair play to them. Yeah, my old resurrected club is making steady progress, poor start but gradually finding their feet and copping the odd little result here and there……the support they have got to get going again has been tremendous. I think they have a couple of hundred owners now ?, my pal went and built them the dugouts FOC, getting decent little turn outs home and away. They are still at the rope around the pitch level but it all seems to be heading in the right direction, their manager is John Coventry Jnr which is a nice touch as his old man was probably the most successful manager ever at their former incarnation…..painful to listen to old Covo talk but he knows his football ! lol May do you good to get down some football that’s a bit more down to earth and personal, shoot the shit with a few like minded old boys etc…..can always just f**k off again if you ain’t feeling it. jukel123 8,431
I was listening to a medic just recently. She said when you are feeling down your brain thinks you are ill and you should go to bed with a whisky. In fact you need to re_ start the body and exercise. Then along comes the endorphins which re_ sets the brain. It's good advice but difficult to act on. A drink gives you an instant lift or anaesthetic effect so it's easy to say " I'll have a drink now and exercise tomorrow". Believe me I've been there. Oh sorry mate i was thinking your old club was Grays .....no i remember you telling me about your clubs ownership issues now thats right....from the little experience ive seen of footie and the staff in clubs at this level theres quite a lot of friction between old boys who want to play the game and run the club " like the old days " and modern new approaches.....almost like everythings at a crossroads and getting a balance of both isnt easy, whereas the players just want to play football......i dont think these little battles between old and modern do anyone any favours as clubs try to progress. Regards returning to games, yes absolutely....as a few folk say, in bad times going back to basics is the way forward......probably just need a good kick up the arse really !

Yep all the science makes sense.....again,im just too much of a broken hearted little pussy hidng away from real life to put it into practise even though its common sense..... its just easier in this other world at the moment. jukel123 8,431
My grandson is costing me a fortune. I give him a tenner for every correct Man U score prediction. Bang on again. We were humiliated for mins but Diallo pulled us out of the shit again. Both him and Garnacho were bought as a policy of gambling on promising youngsters. Paid off with those two. Amad I get but garnacho no I don't get that I didnt see garnacho end product tonight other than the chance he created he's like that in many games he plays in and like Antony tonight the chance he missed he's another that will be moved on most of that team arent fit for purpose
