How was the game mate ? Good to be back in and around  like minded people ?

It was good mate, great bonus for a club like Sligo to fill the ground.

My nine year old grandson has just been accepted for a football academy in Saudi Arabia. His first competitive game his team won and he scored the winning goal and was “man of the match”; H

Ideal can be a great financial boost for clubs likes Sligo, heard Celtic weren't that great all 3 of their goals all pretty similar though any players catch the eye ?

Sligo battered them for 90 minutes if I’m honest mate and then Celtic nicked it with two goals in stoppage time.

All celtics goals were identical, left mid fielder unmarked at the back post for a tap in…..but Celtic had no answers for the whole game, Sligo sussed the press very early and then just kicked to the centre forward and won all the knock downs then played from there, Celtic couldn’t deal with them mate.

Well, let’s not dwell too much on West Ham the weekend ! Lol

I have to say, I like the noises that Postacoglu makes and it’s reflected in the swashbuckling style the yids play……it’s one of those “it’s go’s right big or it go’s wrong big” styles…..I have to admire the bravery of that in football.

Watched some cracking European games, that young Barca team don’t give a f**k and Real Madrid v Dorrmund was one of the best games I have watched for a long, long time.

AC Milan v Brugge was another good watch, that young Brugge team went at them and it was a shame about the sending off because that could have been something really special if not for that.
Have to say, really liking this new CL format.

Man U woes. During Amorim's last press conference a reporter had to move seats because the roof had sprung a leak.

Later on in the week the ground's hygiene rating was lowered because mouse shit had been discovered inside the building.

Both events are grimly symbolic of the decay at Man U over the last two decades.

Nearly every talented kid chooses to train at Man City instead of Utd. Including kids, now high fliers, Phil Foden and Coleman at Chelsea.

An old school mate has two close relatives employed at Man U. He says the atmosphere inside the club is deadly. There's been so many redundancies of 'little' people But we continue to buy players at top prices, award long contracts at inflated wage rates and when they turn out to be duds cannot get rid of them.

All empires fizzle out, but how could the owners and top management have been so incompetent and complacent?

Amorim has an almighty task ahead of him.

Woe is me.

Feel free to enjoy my misery. Lol

Who’s going to buy Rashford ?

£330,000 a week and an attitude problem.
Can’t see too many being interested.
Cheers.

Yup. He's had a charmed life because he's come through the ranks.

We had another local lad Danny Welbeck, a crowd favourite . Van Gaal came, sold him immediately and said his stats weren't good enough.

The same is true of Rashford, stats not good enough and apart from one season never have been.

Since it's the season of good will, how about swapping Isak for Rashford? Tell you what I'll do wid yer. I'll bung yer a few crates of Newcie brown. I can't say fairer than that mate.

Rashford wouldn’t fit the club ethics at Newcastle. They all want to play for Howe and Newcastle.
All the talk of Isak going to Arsenal etc is nonsense, he’s just signed an extension until 2027.

Botman ready to come back, just Pope being out and we are almost at full strength just in time for the busy period.
A new right winger in January and I’m hopeful of a top six place.

Cheers.

Seriously, no true football fan would begrudge a trophy for the geordies. Fabulous fans bourne originally out of the shipyards and pits.

The scenes of joy and delirium would cheer the whole country up.
