Footsie is back over 8,000 this morning.

I remember when 6,000 was the benchmark, then 7,000 not long ago, so being over 8,000 is pretty strong, isn’t it ?

Not that I know anything about stocks&shares; years ago I was advised to add bank shares to my small portfolio, they peaked at over £11……..then dropped drastically and for years have hovered around 60-70 pence !

Ah, well……

Cheers.

Yep, the autopsy reports have confirmed that Queen Elizabeth was a mutant reptilian and Stanley Kubrick admitted on his death bed that the moon landings were fake.

Lads are laughing about getting information from tictok but there's been some decent reporting of events of this last couple of weeks, sure the algorithm can throw it up a bit one sided at times but I'd trust what I see on there before I'd trust any of the MSM.

You'll judge the mood of the country more so on X or tictok than the bile the MSM feed us everyday.

The panic in the stock market occurred because America was supposed to add 175000 new jobs last month. The expected target was missed by 60000.(going from memory). Since the USA is responsible for one out of every seven pounds spent globally, investors were spooked into to believing there was going to be a recession and the global economy would suffer.

But there is going to be an interest rate cut next month so the feeling is the dealers were over reacting.

I lost a few grand, but the message of capitalism is that stocks go up and down in the short term but always go rise in the long term. As Warren Buffet says: "buy when stocks are low cos they always go up."

My savings are staying where they are because Im fortunate that I dont need to spend them. The only big expenditure I'm anticipating is my funeral. If I'm still here in five years I will need a new car. I might go daft and buy top of the range. But on second thoughts, there's nowt  so daft as a skinny old geezer in a smart motor. That's a young fella's game. Lol
