They shit all over the garden and when I go out to chase them off they surround me like a mini wolf pack running round me trying to bite me when I'm not looking. I tease my Mrs saying I'm going to take them out one by one with a catty, kick them over the roof like JPR Williams, stamp on the b*****ds, feed them meat balls with slug pellets inside them. I'm going to hand myself into the thought police this minute. I'm looking at a five year stretch. Bye lads.

That's another Victor Meldrew gripe. The majority of offenders should get off with a suspended sentence. There was a bloke recently got 16 months because he shop lifted loads of Cadbury cream eggs. Seriously. He should have been referred to an NHS dentist. Except they don't exist.

Some years ago my brother was called up for jury duty, the case was a man in his 70’s who had supposedly stolen a packet of bacon from a supermarket. How it ever got past a magistrate’s court and put in front of a jury was beyond me ! When the jury were deliberating, my brother said “there’s only two reasons he stole the bacon; he is either not in control of his mind or he was hungry and couldn’t afford to pay for it. So there is absolutely no way I’m going to find him guilty ! “ The rest of the jury agreed and he was found not guilty. What a waste of time and money ! Now you can shoplift with impunity ! Cheers.

Would you send me a list of those shops which have no security please? Asking for a friend. And ten out of ten for your brother's stance. Depends what you mean by “no security” ? Most of my local shops have what looks like a teenage immigrant as security , who is usually on his phone or listening to whatever the modern variation of the Walkman is ! The local scallywags just laugh at them as they help themselves ! Cheers.

Asian, 5ft 6 inches inches in height with as much threat and menace as a church going septuagenarian. Given that a lot of people don't hold Asians in high esteem they are targets, not deterrents. I was at a football match recently with a fellow old geezer and my 49 year old son. The diminutive Asian bouncer of a pub denied us entry on the grounds that we were strangers and wearing the 'wrong' club colours. My mate said ' behave' and we walked past him. Another pub had a brick shithouse of a bouncer who eyed us up,decided we carried as much threat as kittens and waved us through. If he'd told us to 'f**k off' we would have followed instructions pronto.

And some other libellous stuff which I cant remember. But I was deeply hurt and have not been able to sleep since. I have suffered panic attacks. I believe I have PTSD. I was thinking of taking the legal route and consulted solicitors but then in a later post you said something to the effect that if grown men can't accept a bit of banter then it's a poor world. Make your mind up bud ! Everybody says things they don't mean literally. Everybody is so piously outraged these days. Send me some Tena for men and we'll forget the whole thing. In the current climate every man and his dog should be in jail. School girl stuff. How many blokes threaten this that and the other and then withdraw when the coats come off? It's human behaviour, a lot of noise and threat not to be taken seriously. Completely agree, but Starmer has made a big noise about it and they, once again, have set the rules of the game so they have no option but to arrest him. And threats to kill is an actually real offence. Going to protest that the police or government decide is illegal at any given minute is now also a real offence. There used to be a difference and context but they did away with all that. Once upon a time nobody would have given it a second thought, they would have just said f**k him, maybe a couple of lads would have spotted him out and about and give him a good hiding and the world would have just policed itself like all the best places do…..better times mate but alas we don’t live in that time any more. Words don't have context anymore. It's as though we are all robots and only understand words literally. A good proportion of the old comics who told openly and funnily racist jokes would be in jail according to today's standards. Bernard Manning for one and the black Yorkshire comic Charlie???? Brown? It's mad. We should all take turns locking each other up. And don't get me started on police involvement in every petty incident under the sun. I agree, years ago we policed ourselves very effectively.
