£12000 in discounts???

Fckin hell.....I've never had a car worth 12G never mind that much in discounts 😂

I once drove 8hrs to the far north of Scotland in my 1 litre car sat 18" behind a wagon to ride his slip stream and get my fuel economy down even further......some of you c**ts have too much money 🤑

We used to wind one of our railway gang lads something rotten. He must be near 55 now,  talks like Joe Pasquale and is as thick as bulls spunk. You could make a story up about him and he'd flip the lid thinking everyone believed it.

He bought a caravan one year and I made up the story that he started buying Caravan Weekly magazine and in one issue there was a tip for saving fuel and that was to get in the slipstream of a wagon whilst on the motorway. Well Steve did this and was concentrating that much he missed his turn off on the motorway by 50 miles.

He was boiling red and screaming when I was telling all the other gang lads, raging!

A quick story, Mrs Stav always has a new car, it’s something she likes and they are generally quite high end, she’ll keep them a  couple of years before putting it in for another while there’s still g

I believe we should have what makes us happy while we're here if we have the means. Why not? I've always driven old bangers but bought a second hand Toyota Hilux 5 years ago for $23 000 Oz dollars. I'

Well I'm sure as hell not giving it to some smug car salesman 😂

Cars are all over the place atm the newish Land Rover stuff is dropping in value at auctions ,

small cheap cars seem to be holding well .

but stuff that’s around 10 years old and low mileage is fetching lot more than it should and would of a few year ago.

No offence to anyone caught up in this gravy train but I find it all very sad that people are willing to spend a year or two of there life grafting as that is what it equates to just for a stupid shiny car to look good in front of people that don’t matter, you never got £12000 in discount they just cut there profit margin a percent the only people benefiting are the big manufacturers and government because of new car tax, rather enjoy my life in the £200 swift that’s racked up over 200k trouble free miles and still going strong than live beyond my means with shiny things that you never actually own sorry to piss on everybody’s dream, just an alternative view lol

I did until about a year ago until my Passat started lighting up like a Christmas tree with warning lights. Always serviced it regularly as well.

The 12k isn’t all discount, it’s a number juggling exercise to get to where you are happy with the payment, going through the numbers with her yesterday most people wouldn’t of been able to buy a 2 year old car from them for what she is paying for the S3, you never want to own cars like this, because once they are out of warranty they just become a headache if they go wrong. If you have a lot of money you might as well spend it on as many shiny things as you want because you can’t take it with you, she’s in a very good position, we have no real debt, no kids and she has a very well paid job that gives her the average man’s wage at the end of each month just too spaff on whatever she wants after everything else is paid for, live the life you want, not the one you dream about

We never used to take her cars to Audi even for service, we have a local independent that specialises in Audi’s so they used to service them and it wouldn’t affect the warranty, Audi are charging between £130 and £150 an hour now so we just go for the service plan at £12 a month works out miles cheaper and everything else is covered by the warranty

I wouldn’t have another vag group car after the one owner from new 2005 touran sport  I bought with 54k on the clock in 11 months of ownership the  turbo went then the engine shot diesel into the sump at 64k I was £5250 out of pocket I sold it for £400 scrap that was in 2022 , I replaced that with a Audi A4 sline petrol with 70k on clock that went into garage twice with engine management lights got fed up with that an bought a 13 reg fiat panda 1.2 petrol , I’ve smoked that around 18 months been good as gold only problem was windscreen got bullseyed  by piece of tarmac . Today I just bought a 2013 Toyota Rav 4 2.0 D4D one owner from new 48,000 miles on clock , hopefully should get few years out of this , I wanted something higher up , it was 8 miles away yeah I overpayed for it but it’s payed for no loans or payment plan an I’m  happy with it .👍

Should be good for many years if you keep the 10 000km services up.
