Popular Post Stavross 15,801
A quick story, Mrs Stav always has a new car, it’s something she likes and they are generally quite high end, she’ll keep them a couple of years before putting it in for another while there’s still good money in them. Anyway time came to get shot of the 72 plate A5 so off we went to Audi, where her plan was to put it in and take the new S3 as she likes them having had two in the past. When it came to it the deal wasn’t right so she settled on a new A3 black edition, picked it up about 6 weeks ago, had it 4 days and it wouldn’t start. Went back in, Audi had it 4 weeks before we got it back, 3 days later it wouldn’t start, so we set in motion what we needed to do to reject the car, Audi accepted this and the car has gone back, in this time they gave her a brand new Q3 black edition to use and have refunded all her money plus give her £400 and a load of Audi goodies as a good will gesture. She went in yesterday and the intention was to order the same car ( just one that works ) but Audi had just taken delivery of the new S3 Vorsprung, after working through the numbers and speaking to the sales manager and Audi uk explaining to them the situation, she completed on the deal, between the dealership and Audi uk they gave her almost £12000 in discounts and goodwill payments for the inconvenience she had from the A3, she picks it up on Wednesday and after doing a bit of research we could take that car to Audi Newcastle and they would clear the finance and give her £7500 cash, obviously the dealer asked us not to do that and she’s got the car she wanted at a massive discount, I was in the motor trade for 25 years and have never come across people as helpful as this, they really couldn’t of done any more for her

THE STIFFMEISTER 16,059
Done well with that mate personally I’d be tempted to chop it in as they asked not too ! I bought an Audi s4 in about 2006 , 65k on the clock for 1850, chopped it in 4 years later under that scrappage scheme at Audi for a lovely small Volvo , 8k it worked out I got in discount with the car , the dealership ordered the wrong model , and I ended up with a top end Volvo c30 r design with all the trimmings for a fiver less than 10k and thus ended my success with motors that day lol

forest of dean redneck 11,622
My supervisor mother in law had a nice low mileage diesel volvo v40 r design she wanted a smaller auto car as struggling to change gear and operate handbrake due to bad shoulder ,she went to the volvo main dealers she had used for years they offered her under £7000 saying it was average condition , she went to a small independent garage they didn’t have anything suitable in stock but offered her grand more to buy it in . They don’t call them main stealers for nothing but fair play to the Audi guys
