This is the first Olympics where I’ve got very little interest. I honestly couldn’t name any of Team GB. Cheers.

I was winning competitions at 9 & 10 at 100 meters. Even Bolt wouldn't have ran 11's and he's the greatest of all time. Lol

At those age groups the girls were usually faster, not sure if it's the same these days.

Trouble is at that age you are competing in school years meaning there could be almost a whole year between competitors if one kids born in September and another kid in the same race is born in July/August thats a massive difference at 10 and 11......must admit 11 second 100m at 10 years old sounds far fetched to me.....looking at them times posted the 2.29 for 800m sounds a good time im pretty sure i won our district sports with 2.21 but i was maybe 12 by then....the long jump distances of 3.80 sounds so sweet ....but hitting the board bang on is a nightmare i remember having trouble with that, not adjusting your stride etc.

Good interesting post them times mate nice one

Lads google what you like, world record schoolboys is in the low 10s, anyone considered “fast” will be doing mid to late 11s, it’s completely ordinary for proper sprinters, less than that and you are a solid 6/7/8 place in every race…..believe it, dont believe it, up to you.

It’s one thing to be the fast kid at school, it’s another to be coached or learn correct sprinting posture, do all the right exercises to promote that posture, stride, start…….it’s like anything mate, a few tools make all the difference.

My pal Lee Evans won two Olympic gold medals at 400 metres and held the records for 20 years but never went under 10:20 for 100 metres in his life, but you’re saying 10 year olds are faster ?
You may be right but I’d find it hard to believe.

Cheers.
