DIDO.1 22,629
Ive lost my workshop key's.....how can I get in there? I've actually got a big box of replacement locks so it's no bother if the lock is damaged. Can I just drill it out?
mackem 26,261
Looking at that I have a tool that would take 5-10 seconds to gain entry, but yes,you can drill it out and change the barrel.

If you can get the handle off grab the barrel (where the key goes) with a pair of vise grips and bend it side to side and it will snap in half, that'll give you access to turn the lever to pull the latch back.

chartpolski 23,216
I’ve changed many of those; without specialist tools , just drill it out. Cheers.

If someone’s locked their keys inside it’s less invasive just to pick it,lock doesn’t need to be changed then,MOE is a useful skill.
