Lock picking

Ive lost my workshop key's.....how can I get in there? I've actually got a big box of replacement locks so it's no bother if the lock is damaged. Can I just drill it out?

Looking at that I have a tool that would take 5-10 seconds to gain entry,but yes,you can drill it out and change the barrel.

Or get a locksmith £80 call out here (I would do it for nowt).

If you can get the handle off grab the barrel (where the key goes)  with a pair of vise grips and bend it side to side and it will snap in half, that'll give you access to turn the lever to pull the latch back.

It’s interesting,I did the course earlier this year to help me with certain projects,it’s been incredibly useful (and lucrative).If you want to go full time as a locksmith a course is the way to go.

I’ve changed many of those; without specialist tools , just drill it out.

If someone’s locked their keys inside it’s less invasive just to pick it,lock doesn’t need to be changed then,MOE is a useful skill.

easiest way with mole grips or you get a screw with a slide hammer screw it in pull it out but some you can’t drill there solid so first method you said is best i’d say

It's ok panic over....the Mrs has found a spare key for the workshop and I've got a spare car key. 

Spent all day searching for the originals though.....FFS
