Greyhound x Cur is an easy hybrid to produce,...both parties are readily available and not hard to find...

Facts are,.. such a traditional mouching style lurcher, is not at the top of every man's list,...and as such, they are not universally popular.

When a genuine litter is produced,.. the resulting pups are not always advertised on the open market, and they frequently get quickly and quietly gifted ,..to fellow enthusiasts...

Obviously the Sire's and Dams are not generally famous or even particularly well known,. but they are none the worse for that...

Forest.... What would you consider as the right greyhound ?                IMHO... If I were to breed a 1st cross litter, I would always want the dam to be the greyhound cause I believe they always throw racier pups. And secondly I would of wanted the bitch to have competed at the highest of levels and for a good few years of staying sound. 

This is track greyhounds that I'm speaking about as I believe the coursing bred to be to big and heavy for producing lurcher pups

I was thinking of coursing type to be honest, my shepherd lurcher was shepherd dam and coursing grey sire and most the litter were brindle shepherd looking apart from my  bitch which was black and racier looking think she was smallest of the litter ?

The  one thing I have noted the X isnt  for everyone me included but I've seen a few that run of there accord or pick runs but seen plenty that dont and there as been some cracking dogs that took all quarry in numbers in various ways but it always takes a good dog man to get the best out of them

I think it depends on the first crosses you intend to produce. And it’s probably easier to source a stud that’s done what you’ve stated and to a higher standard than most bitches you’re likely to get your hands on
