Never had the need for a license, it was, and probably still is, the law that you can use someone else’s shotgun with their permission, which is what I’ve done on many occasions. And one especially for you, mate ! LOL ! In Australia and New Zealand I was out with .303’s, 30-06’s and shotguns loaded with slug. No one seem interested if I had a license or not ; Cheers. yes mate you can still use someone’s didn’t you ever have the use of little 410s silenced out that chart poadching as a kid

Perfect for taking out a whole covey of partridge roosting on the ground at night with a lamp. Not very sporting, but effective! Cheers.
THE STIFFMEISTER 15,697
Ffs what have I just done @mC HULLyour a nice geezer and that but you got the wrong end of my gun culture post We've never had a society like the states with automatic and semi weapons freely in part of the household it’s never been that way the 1991 hand gun act effected very little people other than enthusiasts rather than the wider public . No one was ever referring to blasting off 410s , it came from part of @scotty12 link about de arming the uk public .

You see ordinary citizens walking around with side arms on their waist, pickups with full gun racks parked up outside of bars. Ive never seen or heard of that gun culture in the U K. Cheers. We spent a couple of weeks in North Carolina working with various haulage companies training them and "selling" our hydrogen systems...one place had about 50 lorries used to move timber in the main, he had a worshop on the top of the hill above a huge forest. We got talking and he was really excited about how much hydrogen gas he could potentially make using our system, but this wasn't only for helping his lorry engines... no... he had built a propane powered cannon, which fired bowling balls from the top of the hill across his forest.. I've no idea how much of the forest he actually owned, but he said these balls would travel over 500 yards and crash into the forest as they whooped and cheered above.... mental! Lol It did make me think though, no chance in this country, we just haven't got the space, you'd kill someone or be arrested after the first ball was loosed... its a different world, they seem to live a bit!! Lol

Lol Reminded me of when two lads I worked with in Saudi, one an ex RN Armourer, the other ex combat engineer, came into my office and ask if I could give them a box of black Hilti cartridges. I did and as they left I asked if they wanted the Hilti gun? They said no, they had built a pistol out of brass fittings and wanted the cartridges to fire ball bearings! They fired it once and the projectile went through the roof of the hanger ! I shut that bit of fun down rather quickly as we were on one of the busiest airports in the world !!!!
