Yesterday me and the boys headed out to the deeps on one of our shark trips, we stopped off over a few wrecks to fill the freezers up and after a few drifts we filled the ice box up enough and decided to get the bigger gear set up, traps were set and chum slick working away, time to sit back and chill for abit, well that didn’t last long when the first rod bent over and the reel screaming away first blue shark was on giving a great account of herself coming in around the 100lb mark, and the day continued this way for the next few hours with sharks steadily taking our baits and screaming off, around 2 pm all hell broke loose  with a treble hook up, the one though hit differently, and we knew we was into a big fish, with the two caught and unhooked we could concentrate on the monster as it was running around 100 yards one way then same in another direction, over an hour and half of battle and with the boat following it wherever it went my mate finally got the better of the beast and the wire trace showed, unbelievable fish and another awesome day dangling, freezer full of pollock, 8 blue sharks around the 80lb/100lb mark and a boat record porbeagle of around 350lb/400lb, happy days atb.
