Got the stove sorted last week and well pleased with it, just had a few small fires to break it in but even with a handful of small wood offcuts it throws some heat, new windows and doors getting fitted in a months time should make a good improvement as well.

If you want to build a new house in Ireland now , you can't have a chimney or stove .

Almost sure we have the same restrictions up here Paul, can't have a chimney but folks are fitting stoves when the house is finished and building control have passed it.

Can't be having folks heating their homes without the taxman getting his cut.

The long term plan is every one will have to block there chimneys . They  tell us that we have to go alone with all these restrictions to save the planet, in reality it is about ,them having more control over the people .
