Carbs aren't bad mate. And the reason you've lost weight by cutting carbs is the fact that carbs make up a lot of a normal diet, cut them out and you will be eating much less calories. It's not the fact that you've cut carbs, it's the fact that you are in a deficit.

gnasher16 30,024
I find these type of chats scary to read nowadays just how much poor information people are picking up....its almost like the latest fad or craze where people get into strength and fitness and learn everything they can spending hours researching stuff without ever really getting a real understanding of why they are doing things i wont advise anybody i dont know about anything nutrition/juice wise anymore as the majority of people are simply training for the wrong reasons. I remember a time when you lifted weights and got fit because it was fun......usually competitive sportsmen or ex sportsmen who knew what it was like to dedicate yourself physically and mentally.....it was a great challenge within yourself almost on a spiritual level where you would see how far you could go,how far you could push your mind into the pain.....you just dont seem to get that anymore the goal now seems to be purely cosmetic and taking pictures for social media etc. Last weekend was a massive victory within the arm wrestling world for us old school purists.......one of the latest young up and comers is a German crossover athlete ( if thats what its called ) Youtube sensation type......a phenomenally strong lad who got on the juice in his teens, was doing ridiculous power lifts at a young age.....came into arm wrestling and has been beating some top names.......dont get me wrong he's a very good arm wrestler but youth/size/strength/power will only get you so far when it comes to the elite level and at 60 years old my old hero John Brzenk going 3 stone uphill, giving away 35 years in age and a massive strength disparity, old manned the young lad into a victory nobody thought was possible.......i havent had a particularly pleasant time of things lately but this certainly put a smile on my face.

It just so happens that sugary stuff contain a shit load of calories and are not satiating, that's the main problem, the overconsumption

Pewit 970
Interesting info though, if you're obese it doesn't necessarily mean you are more unhealthy than some who's at a normal weight. You can suffer metabolic dysfunction at a normal weight and be metabolically sound whilst being overweight, the most important factor is your metabolic health.

Been tempted to join a Gym that's walking distance from my house that has a swimming pool as well though with working in a fast paced job all week and having a good walk out in the mornings i know it would be a waste of time.

And yes you're better off eating whole foods wherever possible pal.
