Cop who rammed cow.

Recommended Posts

I thought he did well. Quick thinking on his part. Trapped the animal beneath his car and took away the danger to the public immediately. Thats what he's paid for. Tis said ACAB, but credit where it's due.

4 cop cars and box it in,cattle dog or walk it on. It's a cow not a tiger

Evidently it was heading for a busy dual carriageway so the police had to make a quick decision.

Right or wrong decision ? Who knows, but I’d say better a dead or injured cow than a pile up of cars with possible injuries and fatalities.

Cheers.

It's easy saying should of done this or that afterwards.. but how many them coppers been around cattle to know how to control them ect cows will jump gates and clamber over stuff to try get away, there not something you'd want to get close to if you don't know anything about them .

No your right.Ramming a non aggressive but confused cow with a vehicle would be the 1st thing I'd think of in a non life threatening situation.

To be fair we get cows mainly calf’s encroaching on the railway a lot, Bovine Incursions the posh description but we don’t run our trains over them, we coax them off from the rear to a place of safety to reunite with their mothers, amateurs the way they handled that just my opinion of course.
