We will have to win dirty, employ spoiling tactics and hope for a bit of luck or creativity in or around their box. We've all seen smash and grabs in football in the past. Here's hoping. There’s lots of people would have said that no way would we boss Holland for 45 minutes before last night. We were totally in control of that game last night, as much as all us armchair pundits like to give our two penny worth Im coming to the conclusion that Southgate has a plan for every phase of the game and every scenario and it looks like the players all know what those things are. It don’t feel like it, but I’m starting to think it is. Ive said this before but you wouldn’t want to watch a Southgate league team like this for 38 games a season but for tournament football maybe the bloke has it sussed…..which indeed is born out by his record. Every day is a school day and I’m fascinated by this England team, it’s so not me but it’s working.

The first 45 mins last night was exactly how we should play, front foot, winning the ball back in seconds in their half, Mainoo won so many quick turnover balls, then used it well... I know our game has been quite stifled this tournament, but I think the opposition has seen to that as well...Spain have been fantastic, no doubt but we have strength throughout this side and last night proved the togetherness of the squad, I think our depth of squad is the best in the tournament, hence our arm chair conversations about who Southgate should play instead of some of Europe's best players... If it all clicks on Sunday we could be in for a great game, both teams will want to be on the front foot... looking forward to this final Edited July 11 by NEWKID

Why we didn’t have more runs at Dumfries after he got that yellow I don’t know….he was ripe for Trippier or Bellingham running at him and inviting the foul. Never in a million years was that a penalty, if that’s a penalty then the games in trouble ! Lol Unlike Rice to get caught in possession, that rattled him a bit….seen him misplace 2 passes after that which is nothing as you know but for him it’s unusual. Symmons was going mental at his team at half time, did you see ?…..it was a measure of how much we had them rattled. Did you see the kid Yamals goal for Spain the other night ?…..fantastic !
