I've genuinely  got an open mind about the presence of big cats in the UK. But why would the government want to suppress evidence of their existence?

🤔 I remember some years back,.. being in the Ministry of Ag offices when submitting some new vermin traps for inclusion into the Spring Trap Approval Order.....

One of the Scientists was showing me the Aldrich Foot Snare that had just undergone test, and was now officially approved.

I asked him what this device could do that a well cocked Fox Wire couldn't....?

I was quite taken aback,.. when he stated that the Trap was only intended for " Large Non Indigenous Mammalian Species"...

"Like what",. I asked ?.....

I was in Alston a few years back . I walked past an abandoned church and there was a bloke gardening in the church grounds. I happened to say to him what a magnificent building the church was and he replied "yes I've just bought it at auction" and he showed me round. It was truly stunning inside. He had paid next to nothing for it, he wasn't specific, but I know it was l less than 50 grand. He was hoping to convert it as a house for himself. I've been back a few times since and sadly theres been no work done. He anticipated planning problems and I guess he ran into plenty.

We often ventured up there and even ended up with some nice permission. It may seem odd given the location, and I may be getting confused, but seem to remember it was good for a salmon run leading up to Christmas in small streams and we would shoot them with a .22 Ruger pistol.

Thanks Mackem, at least I wasn't imagining it. Sure we still used to sell in the club though 🙂

A few lads I used to know would make the pilgrimage every year. Load the lurchers and/or Bedlingtons into the pick up towing the caravan and after signing on would send their family holidays there. One of the few times a year that the dogs got out of kennels  and the caravans moved out of the street.

Did they spunk all their giros on Rocky soaps?

No because the biggest sense you get from people at these shows is a relief that they can tell someone there experience without being mocked I,m quite good at reading people and it’s not hard to spot the bullshit I also get shown pictures on people’s phones etc that will never appear in the media, there are a lot of people with your views on the subject but if they are happy to listen and debate it’s good to have others opinions, as far as I am concerned we are well past the point of wether they are here or not and it’s more about learning all we can I also had a farmer at the show that was furious about the cats because of the livestock he had lost and his pictures confirmed everything he was saying but all he wanted to do was shoot them all but it’s not that easy most of the ones I here of that have been shot are not by people going out to do so they get an opportunity and a moment to make a decision some regret the decision others don’t, as I have said we are starting to make breakthroughs in  DNA the government took our first one away so nothing surprises me in that department they are desperate to hide the truth but eventually they will have to sit down and talk about it, there are quite a few people on the podcast like police train drivers even politicians etc that are only allowed to speak because they have left the job, it is real and when I saw one myself I needed to to know more know more the 5 positive tests we have had so far have came from 2 freshly eaten animals one from a turd one from some black hair on a barbed wire fence near a fresh kill and one from a dead shot animal that would be enough for a conviction in court as you said occurs razor I think

What would you say is the most absolute definitive evidence you have personally seen buddy ?

wether a picture or video ? Etc

To be fair some still go there, the dogs now replaced by grand kids. Keeping the old British/Irish traditions going. I'm not knocking it.
