jukel123 7,957
You might think I'm an idiot, lots of people do, but I use the same fly for both sea trout and salmon. I never vary it. I dont think different patterns matter. I catch as many fish as others.

TOMO 25,964
Watched a YouTube vid the other day ...a chap who was a resident of Stow on the wold ...he was interviewing travellers at Stow fair...and a bit like Appleby everything closes .... But what really got me was when he interviewed the two pcso pretend cops ...both females and both looked like Dykes and a Dyke looking RSPCA person...the interviewer was commenting on they great condition the horses were in...and trying to get these 3 to agree with him was like trying to get blood from a stone.....there and then you could the narrative these 3 wanted to portray about the travellers... Also watched a few others of the harassment the travellers were getting from police whilst parked up traveling up to Appleby
chartpolski 22,908
To be fair, I’ve a few p***y mates and the lad I lamp with is from a traveller family, but at the allotments we get lots of broken into sheds and things stolen the week of Appleby and the week of the “Hoppings” on Newcastle Town Moor. Coincedence ? Cheers.

I think it's a very small percentage that wouldn't have you over mate mainly them that's settled nearby you. I think it's madness having them around your place or allotment if you keep birds or dogs. DIDO.1 22,424
I'm on the fence with it. My whole being and belief system is centered around people being able to live their life as they see fit.....but.....they just don't help themselves. It's like watching a BLM riot, seeing a local area turn into Mombasa and hearing 99% of knive crime is committed by blacks.....but nobody being able to deal with it or speak about it because you have one black mate who's sound as fck. I really am someone who would be on their side.....but in almost every interaction I've had with them they have acted in ways that you just wouldn't comprehend. I've worked as a keeper, for a land agents and on farms yet even after all this time I try and treat everyone as I find em. Once when doing land visits for a land agent we came across a camp full, the landowner had supplied them with porta toilets because the previous year the field was full of shite after they left. On leaving they smashed the porta loos up and rolled em down a hill. I believe they year before they left em a skip to put rubbish in and it disappeared with em. Across the country pubs and shops want large events to bring in trade..... when every pub and shop shuts cos they are nearby then that tells you a lot, nobody looses an income due to just being prejudiced do they. Britain is the most welcoming country on the planet. Most communities say nothing as the foreign invaders move in and take over..... when the people of Britain don't want you there you need to ask yourselves some serious questions

Like i said those who are settled nearby are usually not the problem from my experience when my mate had his dog's stolen in the early 90s it was by them on the move most of the time though one of the dog's was recovered from an house they had in Edgware London after a tipp off from another traveller .
