RIP Rob Borrows

Recommended Posts

Wicked disease and a long lingering death. Wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. He bore it with much bravery, putting himself in the public eye when he was a shadow of what he’d once been. As said, hopefully his sacrifice, like that of big Doddie Weir, will bring about a cure sooner rather than later. RIP Rob Burrow.

In an age where failures in performance are vaunted as “well at least I tried “ and the celebration of masculinity is regarded as toxic .

What a fantastic person Kevin sinfield is , and what heartbreaking determination from rob burrows to highlight the devastating effects of that awful disease .

As some of you might know I was at Doddies funeral and the wake at the heart of rugby, Melrose Greenyards. These guys and all who support the cause, be it family, friends, fellow players, deserve a lot of credit. I hear that three of Doddies pals and indeed fellow players are doing a Europe run to raise funds for the charity. Good on you guys. Jok.
