vin 76
I remember Buck's first day on the Dale's. Remember the day we lost my old dog Molly down Shropshire ? lots of good memories old friend. Most folk will never see the things and do the things you have done with your dogs. You are one of a last generation. write a book like Phil does and tell the world what they missed out on. atb vin 2 Quote Link to post
Aussie Whip 4,098
Sorry to hear that Ray and hope you can get around better soon. What about a little whirrier later on to do some ratting or rabbiting? Quote Link to post
terryd 8,421
You been in the wars Ray by sound of it. Hope you’re on the mend. Dogs take up a large part of your day but they also give you a good excuse to keep on going which can be good 4 Quote Link to post
tatsblisters 9,689
Hope you are on the mend Ray . I still haven't got another dog yet though i have been walking the daughters springer every Saturday and me and the wife have decided not to get another till we both retire in a few year's time what with us both still working as it would be a house dog. Like some have said a dog still keeps you going and gives you a reason to get up and go as i bumped into the wife's uncle the other morning who turned 90 in April walking his new dog after loosing his old terrier before Christmas. I had an hour with him putting the world to rights and he was telling me he is out every morning for an hour and half with the cracking little black and tan little terrier he now has that was in and out of the hedge we were stood next to . I said watch it near them billy setts on the golf course as you could see it would no doubt go and have a look. All the the best Ray and take care. 1 Quote Link to post

Thanks mate, do it when you ready, you happy with your daughter dog, do that till you Mrs finish work, then get small type lurcher or grew. Funny thing really, OK my knee not right I walking with support on from hospital, and not bad, but take it off, I can tell it still injured, might take another month or longer to heal at my age. But as lot said to me on here, that when old Buck gone, to get grew, or whippet, etc. I will say this as type, that I only just come back of my dog walk with old Buck and little woody. That they deff do get you out and about, and really I prob nerd that since my died, as it lonely old place 24/ 7, so prob feel more cut off, if didn't get out with sight hound, whippet, small lurcher, no more terriers, feckin little woody does me head in lol. . 1 Quote Link to post

If I win the lot I'm going to fly over in my private jet and join the toffs club shooting pheasants ,all decked out in tweed sipping G & Ts. 2 Quote Link to post

Well; NZ$ 50 million is about £25 million, that’s £2.5 million each. Probably not enough to join the Toffs Club these days, mate, but if I won it I’d be heading down your way ! Cheers. First thing I would do if I won the euro lottery this weekend (105m) would be to find a scarecrow to hang my work clothes on. Quote Link to post
