He only got in because of the Reform and Liberal votes. He supposed to be pursuing this on the advice of Chris Witty of Covid fame. I'd like to see the stats concerning the risk of disease from inhaling tobacco smoke in the open air. The ban on smoking in a confined space and not subjecting children to smoke are sensible imo. But this seems like political hari kari . The same as cutting the state pension. I think Starmer must have a degree in pissing people off. However he'll be gambling on the public forgetting these new laws before the next election.
Krishna 94
I'm quite relieved this ban is coming in. I'm sick to death of choking on smoke as I walk past the many shisha joints on my commute to work.

Arry 21,198
I won't be sorry to see the back of Cigarets if I'm honest its taken too many friends and family early. But its wrong to take peoples choices away and create a nanny state. Cheers Arry

Cheers Arry Same here Arry though I honestly think smoking will not become a thing of the past not in our lifetime anyway though the amount of young people I see walking about with vapes I honestly think actual smoking is going out of fashion with the younger generation.
