I’m not being hysterical or over exaggerating when I say I have a suspicion that Starmer may be the most sinister prime minister the country was ever stupid enough to elect……I think in 12 months there

Think the writing was on the wall long before startmer popped up mate it’s the reason you are we’re you are and I,m were I am, think the next year or so will just be a confirmation of why we got out,

Not be long before it's that price over here mate glad I don't smoke and find it a bit sad when f some folk continue with an expensive habit that's detrimental to their health though I will defend the

I don't smoke but brought some back from duty free in Cyprus amber leaf last year and sold it on at 15 for a 50g pack. Think it was cheaper in duty free now we are not in the EU. I don't know how much it is now till I go away again.

If you font smoke yourself it might be more profitable for you to bring fags back.

Only brought them back for a few mates that smoke. A mate has just come back with a load of amber leaf and it went like hot cakes for 20 a pouch for 50g. I didn't realise how expensive it was from shops in the UK.

I packed up a few years ago (5 or 6) but I don’t know how people can afford it today, someone told me a packet of Bensons is like €18 or something ?

I mean, I suppose it’s all relative and the same could have been said when I was still smoking……don’t miss it mind you and I loved a snout and a mug of tea.

I was a committed 40 a day smoker for over 30 years but i was very fit and getting away with it, no such luxury in retirement so no point in being silly about it……I still use a vape which is probably just as bad but I don’t feel as bad that’s for sure and it costs me €12 a week.

I’d tried a couple of times in the past with no success mate but this time it was almost as though I didn’t think about it and that worked.

Mrs just bought home one of those vapes and said try that and that was it, never touched another fag.

I deliberately kept it horrible by not having all those fancy flavour liquids, just plain old tobacco flavour in a simple little vape that’s about the size of a pen  (not one of those ridiculous walkie talkie jobs).

Never a bother, I wouldn’t touch another fag now again.

Gave up a few years ago, and i used to love a smoke whilst waiting for dark to go sea trout fishing, or with a pint in a beer garden. Rather glad i gave up, £16 for a pack of Marlboro Gold now, not to mention the positive health benefits.

Cheers. Aled

Stopped in 2000 after smoking for maybe 13 year. My missus did the same. Between us then we’d have been on about 40 a day - Regal filters. If I had to go out today and buy all the fags we’d have smoked since giving up it’d cost me just shy of £300,000. When you look at it like that I can’t understand why anyone would smoke.

I stopped a few years before vapes took off, and I’m really glad I did. I reckon it’s harder to get off them than the baccy.
