Born Hunter 17,751
The good news is that nothing will change… the bad news is that nothing will change! Lets be honest, there was never going to be any other outcome. This election result changes nothing we didn’t already know months ago. Labour is no different to the torries other than if you’re in the 0.1% or possibly for us. But that’s unclear and to what extent. Anything labour does to us the torries would’ve eventually done anyway. They’re the same. Edited July 5 by Born Hunter

Farage has done what he set out to do, whether they won 5 or 25 seats. Unless the conservative party realign policy to placate and retrieve the Reform voters then it’ll be Labour for many more terms to come. I think they inevitably will, but whether they’ll sort their sh!t out in the next 4/5 years is the question.., and will determine how bad things get.

Saw a bit of this earlier and thought it was tasteless…, as was the reporting of it. TV presenters smirking as if this was somehow justified.., and in the same breath commending the grace with which both victory and defeat were handled by the incoming and outgoing parties. Reform got a significant % of the popular vote, and whether you agree or disagree with their politics they deserve the same respect as any other in a democratic vote.

I think its actually counter productive to their aim , it shows them up for the undemocratic shit weasels they are and validates Farage.
eastcoast 4,115
We was f****d and now we are proper f****d. The last Prime Minister to be democratically voted in was Boris. Then we got Truss then the last clown by default. Before that Blair got voted in but Brown and Prescott got the power. The back stabbing knives will already be being sharpened and how long before Corbyn or Abbot becomes the PM of our great country? Au revoir mon ami
Aled 476
Question to you all, whatever your political colours: Do you feel the Tories may of thrown the election? Due to the Post Office, Grenfell, Blood Contamination etc scandals central UK Govt looks like it may have to pay out a fair amount of cash in compensation during the next few years, Govt is already skint so....? Comments? Edited July 5 by Aled

Au revoir mon ami I think it depends how far left the new intake of Labour MP’s are. We could see Starmer defenestrated and end up with Prime Minister Angela Rayner and the most far left government we’ve ever had . Cheers.
