Popular Post Greyman 28,440
I expect looking at the demographic of people on here there are more than one or two with prostate issues, I am not a fan of tablet a day for life type of medication so don’t take the tablets I was prescribed for my enlarged prostate as a consequence I am up two or three times a night for a pee and get the urges then a dribble throughout the day, well I am slowly getting into more natural remedy’s and moving away from medication so my latest success story is the humble stinging nettle I have been drinking a glass off stinger tea a day for around a month now and am actually sleeping through the night without getting up and down all night, the root is meant to be even better and I have a brew going of that but it takes a while before it’s ready but for anyone with prostate issues I would highly recommend you look at stingers before going down the pill root it actually works better and is free if you don’t want to get stung apparently you can actually by nettle root in places like Holland and Barrett obviously your doctor won’t tell you any of this but I think it should be a first option 25

TRUEBRIT66 1,527
Blood test now apparently but dont even try the doctors even though the advert on the TV says all men over 50 should get tested the gestapo on the reception wont book a appointment unless you got blood in your piss! Interesting about the nettle tea, I've reverted to being 8 years old and don't drink any liquids after 7pm still getting up once or twice in the night though........dropped off the cliff when I hit 50.
jok 3,255
Bit too late for me. Trying my dambnest to get the consultant to make even a telephone appointment. I understand that my PSA has reduced from 10.5 to 9 but that is not really reassuring. Not having too much of a problem through the night but generally flow is not very good. Apparantely I’m with holding about 400mm but considering the amount I consume that’s hardly surprising. I am 70. Jok.
